Executive Coaching
Your thinking partner for hard choices
I work with leaders who face high-stakes decisions, messy trade-offs, and competing priorities - helping you find clarity, choose well, and act with confidence.
In our work together, you will:
- Clarify the real problem (not just the symptoms)
- Surface trade-offs, assumptions, and what truly matters
- Make decisions you can stand behind - and follow through on
What this is
This is executive coaching grounded in philosophy: the art of thinking well about what matters.
Executive coaching with me is a structured conversation designed to improve judgment.
We work with real decisions and real pressures. I use philosophical tools - clear questioning, conceptual precision, ethical reflection, and perspective-taking - to help you see the situation as it is, and choose wisely.
Two tracks, one conversation
Our work usually runs on two tracks at once:
Track 1: Immediate challenges
We work directly on the decisions, conflicts, and pressures you’re facing right now, so you can move forward with clarity and confidence.
Track 2: Capacity for the future
As we work on real problems, we also build the deeper skills and character that make future challenges easier to navigate: sharper judgment, better questioning, steadier courage, clearer values, and more deliberate action.
In other words: you get help with today’s problems and you become the kind of leader who handles tomorrow’s problems better.
What this isn’t
- Not therapy or clinical support
- Not generic motivation or “high performance” hype
- Not advice-giving without doing the thinking together
Who this is for
This is a strong fit if you want rigorous, honest thinking support—especially when you’re carrying responsibility and the right answer isn’t obvious.
It’s especially useful when you’re:
- Making a consequential decision with real downside
- Stuck between competing priorities or stakeholder demands
- Unsure what the real issue is beneath recurring symptoms
- Facing a leadership transition (new role, new scope, new pressures)
- Navigating values conflicts, ethical dilemmas, or reputational risk
- Carrying responsibility and wondering: What is worth doing here?
- Feeling successful on paper, but less clear on meaning and direction
It may not be a fit if you:
- Want quick answers without doing the thinking
- Want a fixed framework applied to every problem
- Are looking for counselling/therapy rather than coaching
Common themes we work on
No two leaders come with the same agenda, but the work often touches themes like:
- Strategic priorities and trade-offs
- Decision-making under uncertainty
- Stakeholder conflict and alignment
- Communication when the message is hard
- Delegation, accountability, and team dynamics
- Values, ethics, and “what’s worth doing”
- Identity, meaning, and motivation at work
- Patterns that repeat: why the same problems keep returning
How I work
My approach is philosophically informed, practical, and focused on what matters.
A typical arc looks like this:
- Clarify the decision or problem — and separate symptoms from causes
- Map the landscape — assumptions, constraints, stakeholders, risks
- Surface what matters — values, priorities, and real trade-offs
- Generate better options — new angles, tools, and better questions
- Commit to action — clear next steps and accountability
You leave sessions with clearer thinking and a concrete next move - not just insight.
